invade is a Maya MEL script, that can be used to duplicate objects in 1D, 2D or 3D, giving you also the ability to distribute the duplicated objects over any nurbs or polygonal surface of your choice. The script lets you also randomize the duplications, by randomizing the translation, rotation and scale. This version doesn’t have the ability to align the objects to the normals of the surface on which they are distributed, it also doesn’t take into account the size of the objects so they may overlap, so for a version containing those features please feel free to contact me or edit the script on your own.

The download contains the mel script, a detailed help file and a few example images and rayIntersect a Maya plugin written by Olivier Renouard.
