My role on this show had many aspects to it. Spanning from the technical side of things to managing the FX team and coordinating with production and the other departments.
There were quite a few interesting technical challenges on this project, spanning over a wide array of effects, such as destruction, explosions, clouds, atmospherics, smoke trails, thrusters, cables and lots of snow and sparks.
Leading was a big part of my day to day work, where I had to technically support the team as well as keep a close communication with the supervision and production teams, to hit the goals and keep things running smoothly and on time. In parallel with leading I got to be involved in quite a bit of setup and shot work.
