Senior FXTD at ILM London

This show was a special one as in parallel to the usual FX work, I got to develop tools for the modeling and animation departments.
On the usual FX front, the work spanned from creating tools and setups to shot work including ground interaction effects, tree effects, destruction and even some blood and magic effects.
The other big chunk of work was leveraging Houdini’s procedural nature, combined with using Houdini Engine, to create tools for the modeling and animation departments to try and help them minimize the amount of manual work they had to do. While also creating corresponding pipeline tools to try and automate the related tasks of moving between the different departments/software.
